SAFE PLACE 2024
On 27-28 November 2024, the 7th International Scientific and Technical Congress SAFE PLACE 2024 took place at the Congress Centre of the Windsor Hotel in Jachranka near Warsaw – Resilience of public facilities and critical infrastructure against war, hybrid and criminal threats. The event was held under the honorary patronage of, among others, the Director of the Government Centre for Security, the Director of the NATO DEEP eAcademy, the Rectors of the Military University of Technology and the WSB Merito University in Wrocław, as well as over a dozen scientific and expert institutions in the field of security.
SAFE PLACE 2024 Congress more than 400 participants from home and abroad, including representatives of government institutions, services, universities, industry organisations, experts and practitioners, as well as representatives of critical infrastructure facilities.
First day of the Congress (27.11.2024) had an international character and began with an opening ceremony and opening speeches by the honorary patrons. Plenary sessions and expert panels dealt with preparing facilities for war, hybrid and criminal threats. Participants also had the opportunity to take part in shooting competitions and stand-up training on attack response and first aid.
The day ended with parallel sessions: Building resilience of facilities and spaces against attacks , and the Innovations in facility and space securityand, in the evening, a gala banquet and awards ceremony took place.
Second day of the Congress (28.11.2024) had a national character and was divided into a seminar and a practical part. Parallel thematic sessions were held in the morning on topics such as security management in critical infrastructure, cyber threats and security of non-mandatory facilities. Expert debates were also held on challenges to critical infrastructure and physical and technical protection systems.
The day culminated in four parallel workshop modulesin which participants - divided into groups - took part in practical exercises in responding to assaults, handling technical security and providing first aid under conditions of high psychological and physical stress.
The event ended with a final session with prize draw and a summary of conclusions and recommendations for the Facilities Security Report.
