SAFE PLACE 2017

On November 21-22, 2017, the first National Scientific Conference titled "Antiterrorist Security of Public Utility Buildings: Theory and Practice" took place at the Conference Center of Hotel Terminal in Wrocław. The event was honored with the patronage of the Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.
The organizers of the event, namely the Department of Sociology of Education at the Institute of Sociology of the University of Wrocław, the Department of Criminology and Security Sciences at the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics of the University of Wrocław, and the training company Safety Project Stelmach Jarosław, made every effort to achieve the highest level of substantive and organizational quality for the event. This was made possible through collaboration with institutions serving as scientific co-organizers, including the Police Academy in Szczytno, Wrocław School of Banking, Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław, Regional Inspectorate of Prison Service in Wrocław, Polish Bank Association, Department of Sociology of Dispositional Groups at the University of Wrocław, and the Polish Society for National Security.
During the Conference, topics such as "Terrorism as a Threat to the Security of Public Utility Buildings", "Prevention and Minimization of Consequences of Terrorist Incidents in Public Utility Buildings", "Counterterrorism Solutions and Response to Threats in Public Utility Buildings", "Anti-Terrorism Education, Training Methods for Terrorist Attacks on Children, Youth, Adults, and Seniors", and "Legal, Institutional, and Social Conditions of Anti-Terrorism Security of Public Utility Buildings" were discussed.
The conference participants also visited the Municipal Stadium in Wrocław, where the Director of Facility Security detailed the management of safety during the organization of mass events. An additional attraction for the participants was the opportunity to visit the stadium's command center and other key locations crucial for its security.
