On November 20-22, 2021, the fourth National Scientific and Technical Congress SAFE PLACE 2021 titled \"Antiterrorist Security of Public Utility Buildings: Best Practices and Recommendations\" took place at the Jaros\u0142aw D\u0105browski Military University of Technology in Warsaw.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

In comparison to previous years, the number of participants significantly increased to over 400 people, which demonstrates the substantive strength of the event, attracting new individual and institutional participants each year. The fourth edition of SAFE PLACE boasted honorary patronage from the Director of the Government Centre for Security, the Chairman of the Financial Supervision Commission, the Director of CEPOL, the Polish State Railways, the Rector of the Military University of Technology in Warsaw, the Rector of the University of Opole, and the Rector of the Higher School of Public and Individual Security APEIRON in Krakow.<\/div>

The fourth edition of the SAFE PLACE Congress differed from previous ones in several respects. Firstly, the event was relocated to the Military University of Technology in Warsaw and was combined with the celebrations of the 70th anniversary of its establishment and the 10th anniversary of the founding of the three security science disciplines. Secondly, the thematic panels were expanded to comprehensively discuss various concepts. Anti-terrorism security encompasses a wide range of issues, which were extensively covered in discussions due to the presence of theorists and practitioners. The fourth edition stood out for its increased emphasis on practical aspects related to technical solutions, presented by event partners. This provided participants with the opportunity to explore a wide range of interesting solutions, devices, and systems offered by leading providers in both the Polish and international markets.<\/p>

In addition to substantive presentations, the first day of the event featured displays of military special forces vehicles, equipment, and specialized gear, practical exercises on a 3D driving simulator and a road collision simulator, a presentation of the Military Gendarmerie forensic ambulance, a performance by the Choir of the Military University of Technology, and an author's evening in the form of a discussion meeting. In 2021, the organizers introduced an innovative and unprecedented practical format for the second day, which involved the preparation of four practical workshop sessions.\u00a0<\/p>

During the third day, plenary sessions took place where scientists and experts in the field of security and counter-terrorism presented the results of their research and case analyses, sharing their knowledge and practical experience with nearly 400 congress participants.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
